BOOM is an independent educational initiative that gathers artists, educators, organizers, activists, families, and youth to imagine new pathways for learning and new possibilities for our shared futures. Through summer programs, fellowships, teacher development, and community-rooted research, BOOM treats education as a creative and collective practice rooted in freedom, ancestral memory, and communal responsibility. Rather than preparing young people to simply navigate existing systems, BOOM asks how education can equip them to build new ones.
Programming was paused in 2024.
